Indian Police Raid Illegal Arms Factory, Arrest 4 with Weapons

Indian police conducted a raid on an illegal arms factory operating under the guise of a poultry farm in Sirisia village, near Raxaul — an Indian town bordering Birgunj. During the raid, a large quantity of weapons and related materials were seized, and four individuals involved in the operation were arrested.

The raid was carried out on Friday morning under the direction of Motihari Superintendent of Police (SP) Swarn Prabhat and led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (SDPO) Dhirendra Kumar. The police team raided the poultry farm located in Sirisia village, falling under the jurisdiction of Palanwa Police Station between Raxaul and Ramgarhwa. The raid, which lasted 12 hours, uncovered the clandestine arms manufacturing facility hidden within the poultry farm.

During the raid, police seized a country-made carbine (1 unit), three indigenous pistols, 43 rounds of 9mm bullets, 31 rounds of 3.15 bore bullets, 9 rounds of 7.62 bore bullets, 2 empty shells, a locally-made six-shooter pistol, six semi-finished pistol bodies, 19 slides, 20 magazines, six springs, 105 name-punching tools, three drilling machines, one welding machine, and a sword.

Initially, police detained the main operators of the arms factory — Pankaj Singh and his father Rajeshwar Singh. Based on their statements, special police teams were deployed in Chhapra and Munger. The team arrested Abhitabh Sharma from Chhapra and Noyar Alam from Munger, as confirmed by SP Swarn Prabhat.

The raid involved SDPO Dhirendra Kumar, Palanwa Station In-charge Sita Kewat, Bhelahi Station In-charge Shahrukh, Ramgarhwa Station In-charge Amarjeet Kumar, and Chhapra’s Parsawa Station In-charge Sunil Kumar, among other police personnel.
